nasal congestion

It may be due to anatomical problems such as nasal congestion, septum deviation (intranasal curvature), turbinate hypertrophy (nasal flesh growth), polyps (tissue sagging inside the nose), tumoral masses, as well as functional conditions such as acute and chronic rhinosinusitis and allergic rhinosinusitis.
The patient's complaint should be evaluated correctly and the diagnosis should be made with correct examination and imaging. Guiding the patient with an immediate surgery recommendation is not always the right approach. Medical treatment and follow-up should sometimes be applied before surgery.
You must have good communication with your doctor for accurate information and treatment. You should ask your doctor to answer your questions clearly and set your expectations regarding your treatment realistically and clearly.
