Children's airway problems

A child with respiratory distress may have a significant disease at any level in the airway, starting from the nose and extending to the lungs. It should be treated with very different approaches depending on the patient's age and the severity of the disease.
Unopened holes in the nose (choanal atresia), large adenoids in the nasal cavity, large tonsils in the mouth, stenosis and developmental anomalies in the larynx and trachea are the causes of respiratory distress in children. When they are treated with correct evaluation, they can continue their normal lives.
Pediatric patients with any type of respiratory distress should be evaluated by a physician experienced in pediatric ENT. If you have a child with respiratory distress, be sure to consult your pediatric ENT physician...
